The Sonic team has finally shed light on why the Blue Blur uses a car to race. According to Takashi Tezuka, Team Sonic head, it’s all about having fun. Without competition, running flat out wouldn’t be exciting enough for Sonic. He prefers racing with friends and experiencing that competitive edge in a car.
Sonic’s social media team previously offered similar insight years ago, but this is the first time we’ve heard from him directly. The upcoming game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will bring Sonic to Nintendo Switch on September 25, followed by a release on Switch 2 later on.
