Microsoft has introduced a new “Actions” menu in the latest Windows 11 Dev Channel build, allowing users to control which apps appear as suggested actions across the OS. This feature is exclusive to Copilot+ PCs and lets users turn apps on or off at will.
The Actions area in Settings gives an overview of all the apps that can tap into this experience, including Paint and Photos. Users can see what each app is capable of and turn them on or off to customize suggested actions in Click To Do.
In our testing, turning off Photos removed suggested actions from the Photos app in Click To Do. Microsoft plans to ship major Copilot+ features in May, including Recall, which will be exclusive to Copilot+ PCs.
The new Actions menu is part of a larger effort to introduce more “proactive” Copilot features across the Windows 11 interface this year. These features will let AI assistant suggest actions and tasks based on user activity, not just in Click To Do.
This new feature makes sense, especially if third-party apps can tap into the proactive Copilot experience. Microsoft is planning to roll out more updates and improvements for Copilot users in the coming months.
