Microsoft has released the February 2026 Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 11, addressing security concerns and adding some new features. This update includes fixes and improvements to cross-device resume, allowing Android users to continue activities on their PC.
Key changes include:
* Agent in Settings (Copilot+ PCs only): Supports more languages
* Device card improvements: Displays key specs and usage details for your PC
* Cross-device Resume improvements: Allows Vivo Android phone users to browse on PC, and resumes online files from HONOR, OPPO, Samsung, vivo, or Xiaomi phones
* Windows MIDI Services improvements: Enhanced support for MIDI 1.0 and MIDI 2.0
* Narrator improvements: Lets users choose which details are spoken and adjust their order
* Smart App Control improvements: Can now be toggled on and off normally
Additionally, Microsoft plans to roll out new Secure Boot certificates to keep Windows PCs protected from boot-level attacks. The update includes a “broad set of targeting data that identifies devices and their ability to receive new Secure Boot certificates.”
