Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5733 (KB5062673) to the Dev Channel, introducing new features, improvements, and fixes for Insiders who have enabled the toggle to get the latest updates.
The build includes changes in the File Explorer, such as displaying people icons under the “Activity” column on File Explorer Home and recommending specific apps. Users signed in with a work or school account will see Live Persona Cards from Microsoft 365.
In Settings, Microsoft is removing the option to manage Bing search history, redirecting users to the Privacy dashboard for this feature. Other notable updates include fixes for crashes in the Start menu, Taskbar & System Tray, and Lock screen, as well as issues with multi-finger touchpad gestures and apps crashing on certain hardware.
However, some Windows Insiders may experience known issues, such as a rollback trying to install this update or seeing categories generated for every letter of the alphabet with blank icons in the Start menu. Additionally, reports have surfaced about all apps pinned to the taskbar being unpinned after updating to Build 26200.5722 and higher.
Future updates will address these issues and fix known problems with features like Click to Do, Live Captions, and Xbox Controllers. To resolve an issue with Xbox Controllers via Bluetooth, users can uninstall a specific driver in Device Manager.
This build is part of the Dev Channel, which receives updates based on Windows 11 version 25H2 via an enablement package. Insiders who want to be the first to get features gradually rolled out can enable the toggle for the latest updates. Keep in mind that features and experiences included in these builds may not make it to future releases or may undergo changes over time.
