Microsoft has introduced a new FAQ section in the Settings app under the About menu, offering advice on upgrading hardware to improve performance. The new feature suggests that users with less than 4GB of RAM may need a discrete graphics card and more memory for “basic tasks” like web browsing.
In a screenshot, the FAQ advises getting at least 6GB of RAM, which is not enough for high-end gaming or video experiences. This information mirrors Microsoft’s Windows Experience Index system, which evaluated machine performance using a 1-6 score.
The new feature was discovered by Phantom of Earth in a recent developer build and may appear in future updates, including the next yearly update. However, its availability remains uncertain, and it might be triggered only when the operating system detects hardware limitations.
