Windows 11 has reached a new record high on Steam, capturing 54.96% of the user base as of December 2024, an increase of 1.98 percentage points from the previous month. The operating system has surpassed Windows 10, which now accounts for 42.39% of usage, with a decline of 0.92 percentage points.
Windows 7 64-bit continues its downward trend, now at just 0.15%, and is expected to disappear soon due to incompatibility with the latest Steam version. In terms of market share, Nvidia leads the GPU market with a 75.67% share, followed by AMD with 16.24%. Intel takes the top spot in CPUs, edging out AMD with 63.32% compared to 36.68%.
Windows continues to dominate on Steam, accounting for 96.10% of all participants, followed by Linux at 2.29%, and macOS at 1.61%.
