Windows Insider Program Pauses and New Builds Available

Microsoft has lifted its holiday pause on the Windows Insider program, allowing users to download new preview builds. The latest build, 27766, is now available in the Canary channel with a few tweaks and fixes.

The update includes general improvements and patches for File Explorer crashes. It also addresses issues related to rollbacks, including the error code 0xc190010, which has been a common problem for Insiders. Furthermore, the taskbar and system tray have received fixes, resolving explorer.exe crashes on certain systems.

However, users should be aware of a known issue affecting Copilot+ PCs joining the Canary Channel. They may lose access to Windows Hello biometrics due to error 0xd0000225. Users can re-create their PIN by clicking “Set up my PIN.”

Additionally, Microsoft is working on fixing an issue causing accent-colored window borders to not display correctly when enabled. The company has released an official announcement and has asked users with the problem to file feedback for further investigation.

Users can download the new build by visiting the Windows Insider website and following the prompts.
