WNBA: Minnesota Lynx Make Key Addition Ahead of Playoffs

The Minnesota Lynx have acquired Dallas Wings guard DiJonai Carrington in a trade, bolstering their team ahead of the playoffs. The top-ranked team in the WNBA season has added Carrington, who was averaging 10.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game after joining the Wings in February.

Carrington joins the Lynx alongside guard Karlie Samuelson, who will return from a foot surgery injury, and forward Diamond Miller. The trade also involves Dallas Wings’ Teaira McCowan, who has been waived.

The move comes as the Lynx, ranked 24-5 this season, continue to build momentum ahead of the playoffs. In contrast, the Wings have struggled, losing eight of their past 10 games and currently sitting at 8-21 with a top-ranked draft pick in Paige Bueckers.
