Woman Arrested After Urinating on Store Food Products

A 23-year-old woman, Kelli Tedford of New Hampshire, has been arrested for contaminating food products at the Monadnock Food Co-Op store in Keene by urinating on them. The incident occurred on February 10 and prompted a recall of more than six items due to potential contamination.

The investigation began when an anonymous tip was received about online videos showing Tedford posting herself urinating on products at the store. Authorities reviewed the videos, identified affected products, and removed them from shelves, sanitizing all surfaces in the process.

Tedford has been charged with a felony criminal mischief charge and is set to be arraigned in court on April 7. The suspect was released from custody on her own recognizance but may face additional charges as police investigate further incidents dating back to 2021.

The Monadnock Food Co-Op has issued a voluntary recall of several products, including raw walnuts, organic coconut shreds, and organic quinoa blends, which were sold between February 10 and 15. Customers who purchased these items are advised to discard them and return to the store for a refund.

The company is reviewing its security measures and procedures to prevent similar incidents in the future. If anyone witnessed suspicious behavior or purchased potentially contaminated products, they can contact Detective Don Lundin at (603) 357-9813.
