Women Leaders Shine at Second Annual Spill the Tea Event

The Foundation for Fresno Unified Students is hosting its second annual “Spill the Tea” event on March 6, celebrating women leaders in education and beyond. The high tea gathering will feature a panel of accomplished women from diverse professions, including Captain Jordan Beckford, Chief Operating Officer Raji K. Brar, News anchor Graciela Moreno, President & CEO Diane Phakonekham, General surgeon Edythe Woodruff Stewart, and a student panel of Fresno Unified pupils.

Moderated by Foundation CEO Wendy McCulley, the discussions will focus on leadership, education, and overcoming obstacles. The event aims to showcase how leaders handle difficult times and decisions, providing professional insights and uplifting community voices. “We want to truly model leadership and show that anyone can be a leader,” said Andrew Scherrer, executive officer of the Foundation.

Tickets, priced at $75, are available online, with proceeds supporting Fresno Unified students. The event will take place at the Palomino Event Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with high tea attire encouraged but not required.
