A New Jersey-based manufacturer, Reckitt Benckiser LLC, has recalled over 16,000 bottles of its Woolite Delicates detergent due to possible exposure to bacteria. The recalled detergent was sold exclusively on Amazon in January and can be identified by its lot codes “S24364,” “S24365,” or “S24366.” Customers who purchased the affected product are advised to immediately stop using it and dispose of the bottle.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a fast-track recall, citing potential risks from Pseudomonas species bacteria, including Pseudomonas oleovorans. These bacteria can enter the body through the eyes or skin, posing a risk to people with weakened immune systems or those with external medical devices.
Despite no reported illnesses or injuries related to the recall, customers are urged to contact Reckitt Benckiser LLC for a full refund. To initiate this process, consumers can reach out by phone at 800-228-4722, email at [email protected], or online through the company’s website.
