Woolite Delicates Detergent Recalled Due to Pseudomonas Bacteria Risk

A voluntary recall of Woolite Delicates detergent has been issued due to the presence of Pseudomonas species bacteria, including Pseudomonas oleovorans. The bacteria can cause serious infections in people with weakened immune systems or external medical devices.

The recalled product is a 50-fluid-ounce bottle of Woolite Delicates detergent, sold exclusively on Amazon.com, and comes with lot codes S24364, S24365, and S24366. Consumers should immediately stop using the detergent and contact Reckitt at 800-228-4722 or via email at [email protected] for a full refund.

To receive a refund, consumers must write their name and “Recalled” in permanent marker on the back of the product, take a photo with the UPC and lot code visible, and email it to Reckitt. Once the refund is processed, consumers should dispose of the product by closing the bottle tightly and placing it in household trash.

There have been no reported injuries or illnesses associated with this recall, but consumers are advised to follow proper disposal procedures for the affected product. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is responsible for enforcing the recall and ensuring public safety.
