World of Warcraft: Midnight Expansion Revealed with New Gameplay Features

World of Warcraft’s upcoming expansion, Midnight, has been fully revealed by Blizzard Entertainment at Gamescom 2025. The presentation showcased a ton of newly announced features, including a new playable race, new gameplay mechanics, and the long-awaited third Class Specialization for Demon Hunters.

Players will need to unite the Elven races with the forces of Light to defeat the main antagonist Xal’atath and save Azeroth’s Worldsoul. The expansion promises several new Zones, revamped Silvermoon City, and a plethora of new Dungeons, Delves, Raids, and outdoor activities.

New gameplay highlights include:

* Player Housing system
* New Zones: Eversong Woods, Harandar, Voidstorm, and Zul’Amon
* Revamped Silvermoon City
* New Dungeons: Den of Nalorakk, Maisara Caverns, Nexus Point Xenas, Voidscar Arena, Blinding Vale, Windrunner Spire, Magister’s Terrace, and Murder Row
* New Delves: Den of Echoes, Parhelion Plaza, Collegiate Calamity, The Shadow Enclave, Shadowguard Point, Sunkiller Sanctum, and Torment’s Rise
* New Raids: The Voidspire (six-boss raid), The Dreamfrift (cinematic one-boss raid), and The March on Quel’Danas (cinematic two-boss raid)
* A new playable race called the Haranir – a group of batlike humanoids
* A new Class Specialization for Demon Hunters called Devourer, which channels the power of the Void to unleash a barrage of mid-range attacks
* Prey – a new outdoor activity where players hunt unique boss monsters in the open world at multiple difficulty levels for lucrative rewards

World of Warcraft: Midnight is set to launch in 2026.
