Blizzard has announced World of Warcraft’s 11th expansion, Midnight, which is part of the Wordsoul Saga trilogy. The expansion follows the first installment, The War Within, launched in August 2024, and marks a return to form for Chris Metzen.
A cinematic trailer showcases the gorgeous expansion, followed by developer panels at Gamescom that delve into locations, lore, and gameplay features. Players will also get hands-on experience with a long-awaited player housing feature.
The expansion is set to release in 2026 and will include an online demo of its content after the panels conclude. Additionally, fans can participate in a cosplay contest for a chance to show off their creativity.
The upcoming event promises a similar experience to BlizzCon, providing an immersive look at what’s to come in the World of Warcraft universe.
