ASUS has unveiled the world’s first 4K Quantum Dot OLED (QD-OLED) gaming monitor, the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM, while MSI also introduces its own line of QD-OLED gaming monitors. The two high-end displays boast impressive specs, including 3840 x 2160p resolutions and 240Hz refresh rates.
Both monitors feature Quantum Dot technology to enhance the brightness of OLED panels, providing unparalleled visual quality. The ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM boasts a 1.5 million:1 contrast ratio, while MSI’s MPG 272URX and MPG 272QR offer similar features, including HDR support, FreeSync Premium, and true 10-bit color reproduction.
The monitors are equipped with cutting-edge technologies like OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0, OLED Care Pro, and DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 interfaces for uncompressed high-quality visuals at higher resolutions. They also feature fast response times of 0.03ms and support for competitive titles.
MSI’s MPG 272QR is the first QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 500Hz refresh rate, delivering ultra-smooth gameplay without compromising on display quality. The monitors are expected to be expensive due to the high-end features and technologies used, with prices likely exceeding $500 for the 27-inch screen size.
