Antigravity has announced its A1 drone as the world’s first drone designed to capture 360-degree video. Incubated at Insta360, the company claims that its intuitive controls make it easy for anyone to fly and capture stunning footage.
Unlike traditional FPV (first-person view) drones, which require skilled pilots to execute acrobatic moves, the A1 drone can produce similar shots while flying in a straight line. This is achieved through its 360-degree field of view, allowing users to add camera movements like spins and rotations in post-production using Antigravity’s editing software.
The drone comes equipped with a headset that lets users see what they’re seeing as they fly, complete with a battery worn around their neck to power it. The controller is designed with a Wii-like remote feel, making it easy to navigate the drone’s movements.
While the experience was mostly intuitive, I experienced some motion sickness during my test flight. However, I successfully captured video and completed my first flight without any issues.
The Antigravity A1 drone has yet to be priced, but it is set to hit the market in January 2026. To get a glimpse of this innovative drone in action, check out the provided video.
