Apple is set to unveil significant updates at its upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026, with a focus on improving stability, performance, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The company’s main objective is to enhance the user experience across all its operating systems.
The updates will build upon Apple’s design material, Liquid Glass, introduced last year. While aesthetically different, these changes aim to provide more functionality and improvements.
One major area of focus is Siri, with Apple expected to introduce a revamped version that can compete with ChatGPT and Gemini. The new voice assistant will be designed as a chatbot-like interface, allowing users to interact with the AI in a more natural and conversational manner. This update includes features like integrating personal context, performing multiple actions simultaneously, and accessing news.
Developers will also be able to integrate their own AI assistants with Siri, while the company plans to release a standalone Siri app for users to access tasks, search, and review past conversations.
Furthermore, Apple aims to enhance stability and performance across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS, and tvOS. The company will also clean up visual changes introduced in Liquid Glass, potentially adding a system-wide slider to adjust the intensity of visual effects.
WWDC 2026 key dates: June 8-12, with live streaming available on Apple’s website, YouTube channel, or Bilibili channel in China.
