WWE NXT Results: Winners, Live Grades, Reaction, and Highlights From February 25
The latest episode of WWE NXT featured a trio of title matches that showcased the talents of several top performers. In the opening match, Stephanie Vaquer successfully defended her NXT Women’s North American Championship against Karmen Petrovic.
Vaquer, accompanied by Ashante “Thee” Adonis, used a steady pace to escalate the action and ultimately picked up the win in a hard-fought contest. The two women have both been important figures in the NXT women’s division, and their bout was a solid outing that did justice to their reputations.
Later, Lexis King challenged Moose for the TNA X-Division Championship, but the veteran champion emerged victorious with a huge Spear to put his challenger away. Moose showed off his agility and strength throughout the match, including a springboard crossbody and powerbomb that left King reeling.
The night’s main event saw Tavion Heights and Myles Borne challenge Matt and Jeff Hardy for the TNA tag titles, but the veteran duo retained their belts with a classic Twist of Fate and Swanton combo. The Hardys’ victory was helped by the efforts of their opponents, who put up a strong fight.
In a surprising upset, Arianna Grace lost to Lola Vice in a relatively short match, while Ricky Saints and Je’Von Evans emerged victorious over Wes Lee and Ethan Page in the main event’s opening match.
Overall, Tuesday’s NXT episode continued to foster WWE’s relationship with TNA by featuring two title matches with the latter promotion’s gold on the line. The best performance of the night was a tie between the women’s North American title bout and the tag match that closed the show.
