Multiple WWE Superstars have been released from the company in a surprise roster purge ahead of WrestleMania season. Seven wrestlers were initially let go on Friday, followed by four more additions to the list.
Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Isla Dawn, and Giovanni Vinci are among those being released, according to multiple outlets. Dawn confirmed her release on Instagram Stories with a caption referencing her 90-day non-compete clause before appearing on another organization’s TV shows.
Dawn’s departure breaks up The Unholy Union tag team with Alba Fyre, who will now need to find an opportunity as a singles wrestler after being WWE Women’s and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Vinci’s exit isn’t surprising, given he suffered an injury in 2024 and failed to establish himself in the Imperium faction.
Gallows and Anderson are also released, with their future uncertain. The two veterans were previously part of The O.C. but haven’t been featured on WWE TV in significant matches for a while. Their release has shaken up several factions, including Pure Fusion Collective, The Last Testament, and The Unholy Union.
Other released superstars include Sonya Deville, Cedric Alexander, Akam, Rezar, Paul Ellering, Duke Hudson, and Blair Davenport. WWE is expected to make more signings soon to explain the recent roster moves.
As WrestleMania season approaches, these releases suggest a significant shake-up in the company’s factions and tag teams. Stay tuned for further updates on WWE’s roster changes.
