WWE and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide joined forces for a historic event, Worlds Collide 2025, held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. The event marked a significant milestone after WWE’s acquisition of AAA in April.
Five matches took place on Saturday afternoon, with two titles on the line. El Hijo del Vikingo successfully defended his AAA Mega Championship against Chad Gable.
In another match, Ethan Page retained the NXT North American Championship by defeating Rey Fenix, Je’Von Evans, and Laredo Kid in a fatal four-way match.
Legado Del Fantasma emerged victorious in a six-man tag team match against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Pagano, and Pyscho Clown. Santos Escobar secured the pin over Dr. Wagner to claim the win.
The event also featured a thrilling matchup between Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro, and Lince Dorado versus Octagon Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana. In a surprising twist, Dominik Mysterio called out the luchadors after a match, challenging Octagon Jr. to a match at Money in the Bank for the Intercontinental Championship.
The event kicked off with Rey Mysterio’s speech, where he expressed his pride in being part of the lucha libre revolution and its platform. Worlds Collide 2025 was free to watch for all wrestling fans and took place on June 7, starting at 3 p.m. ET, before Money in the Bank later that night.
