Microsoft is increasing its focus on improving Xbox Cloud Gaming, with the goal of making it more accessible and affordable for users worldwide. According to Jason Beaumont and Jason Ronald, two Xbox platform architects, the company plans to expand cloud gaming services to new countries and explore innovative ways to reach more players.
Beaumont emphasized that Xbox’s aim is to bring games to more people by expanding cloud gaming globally. The team aims to add new servers to meet growing demand while introducing new features to make the service more affordable.
Ronald mentioned that users who rely on Game Pass Ultimate for cloud access may benefit from expanded options, including new ways to play without being a member of the premium tier. He highlighted the company’s commitment to adding value to Xbox Game Pass members through features like “Stream Your Own Game” and free-to-play benefits.
These plans indicate a shift towards making cloud gaming more inclusive and user-friendly, which may include introducing an ad-supported option in the future.
