Xbox users experienced a widespread outage when Microsoft’s gaming service was affected by issues with its sign-in services and game saves syncing to the cloud. Reports flooded Down Detector, peaking at over 2,200, but have since dropped to under 1,000 as the issue resolved itself in roughly half an hour.
The problem began on November 17, 2025, when users first reported issues with sign-ins and streaming services, but it took longer than expected to resolve. Xbox’s status page initially showed a “Limited” functionality issue, which has since been resolved.
