Xiaomi is set to launch its new flagship Ultra smartphone model, the 15 Ultra, with a unique design that incorporates elements of its partnership with Leica. Official renders have been leaked, showing the phone’s rear featuring a round camera cluster with duo-tone white and rough-finished black vertical strips.
The leak suggests the 15 Ultra will have four cameras within this cluster, bearing resemblance to traditional Leica cameras. The large round camera protrusion and Xiaomi branding on the corner make it appear like a real camera when held sideways.
A teaser sample image from the 15 Ultra was recently shared by Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun, showcasing the phone’s camera capabilities with a 200-megapixel periscope system. This is confirmed to have a 4.3x optical zoom along with other cameras including an optically stabilized primary shooter and ultrawide lenses.
The leaked specs include a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, large battery capacity, fast charging options, and various storage and RAM configurations. The phone’s design also features a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a variable refresh rate and in-display fingerprint reader.
