Xiaomi has officially launched its highest-end tablet yet, the Pad 7 Ultra, directly targeting Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. The new device boasts an impressive 14-inch OLED screen with a higher pixel density and a unique nano-texture glass coating for reduced glare. Other key features include a flagship-grade in-house chip, massive 12,000mAh battery, and Dolby Vision support.
Compared to the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, the Pad 7 Ultra has several advantages. Its new in-house XRING O1 chip outperforms Samsung’s Dimensity 9300+ chip, offering faster performance and a more powerful GPU. The tablet also features eight speakers for enhanced audio quality and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
However, Xiaomi’s flagship device lacks some notable features of its rival, including an S Pen stylus, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and cellular connectivity. Prices for the Pad 7 Ultra start at CNY 5,700 ($800) for the base model and go up to CNY 6,800 ($950) for the top-end variant.
Despite its impressive specifications, it remains unclear if Xiaomi’s tablet will be launched in Europe or the USA due to Samsung’s strong presence in these markets. Nonetheless, the Pad 7 Ultra offers an attractive alternative to existing flagship tablets, particularly for those who prioritize a lower price point and innovative features like nano-texture glass.
