Yankees Get Advantage With Short Porch in Right Field for Cody Bellinger

New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman has revealed that the team’s short porch in right field is a significant advantage for left-handed hitter Cody Bellinger. The wall stands at just 314 feet from home plate, which will benefit Bellinger during his time with the Yankees.

While no one expects Bellinger to replicate Juan Soto’s performance, he will get to take advantage of this advantage in 87 games, including both their own home games and six road games against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays are temporarily relocating to George M. Steinbrenner Field, the Yankees’ Spring Training home, due to a hurricane that damaged Tropicana Field.

This temporary arrangement presents an ideal opportunity for Bellinger to capitalize on the short porch, potentially boosting his performance with the team.
