Yankees Outfielder’s Teen Son Dies of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Former New York Yankee outfielder Brett Gardner’s 14-year-old son, Miller, died from carbon monoxide poisoning while staying at a hotel in Costa Rica. Authorities confirmed that the cause of death was high levels of carboxyhemoglobin in his blood, exceeding 50%. Initially thought to be asphyxiation, the autopsy later revealed contamination and a layer on his organs forming due to exposure to the poisonous gas. Miller’s family reported feeling ill after dining at a nearby restaurant, which is now under investigation. The Yankees expressed their condolences, describing the loss as “unimaginable” and stating that the entire organization is grieving.
