Aaron Judge homered twice in the New York Yankees’ 12-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, completing a three-game sweep of the series. The win marked the team’s sixth consecutive game with at least 10 runs scored.
Judge led the charge with four home runs and 11 RBIs in the series, surpassing his season total from last year. He became the first Yankee to hit four homers in the opening three games since 2006.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. also had a big day, hitting two home runs and drawing two walks. The Yankees’ lineup exploded for 15 home runs and 36 runs over the course of the series.
The Brewers were held scoreless by the Yankees’ starters, with only a few late-inning runs scoring in the bottom of the ninth. The team’s bats struggled to find their rhythm throughout the game, but a strong bullpen performance helped secure the win.
With this sweep, the Yankees improved to 3-0 on consecutive seasons for the first time since 1994 and 1995. They will look to continue their winning streak next week when they face off against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
