Yanks Unleash Power as Aaron Judge Hits 3 Home Runs in Historic Outing

Aaron Judge followed Paul Goldschmidt and Cody Bellinger to start one of the most memorable days of his career with three home runs, including a grand slam. The New York Yankees hit a team-record nine homers in a 20-9 rout of the Milwaukee Brewers. This marks the first time a team has homered on its first three pitches since MLB tracking began in 1988.

Judge’s performance also set a career high for him with eight RBIs, surpassing his previous mark. The Yankees’ winning margin came at a cost, however, as they committed five errors that led to four unearned runs and removed pitcher Max Fried after 4 2/3 innings due to a high pitch count.

Judge’s impressive display also included a two-run homer in the fourth inning and an RBI double in the sixth. The Yankees became the first big league team to hit seven homers in the first three innings of a game, with Judge adding to the fireworks started by Goldschmidt and Bellinger.
