A 45-year-old man recalled an experience his son had when seven planets aligned in the sky on Friday night. Sam, who is 11 years old, spent a week preparing for the rare event by using his new telescope and practicing with a laser pointer.
He set up his equipment at Parliament Hill, where he was joined by thousands of other people eager to view the alignment. The father was amused by his son’s preparation and concern about finding a good spot to observe the planets.
