YouTube Android App Hit with Navigation Bug Fix Imminent

A major bug has affected the Android version of the YouTube app, making navigation more difficult by removing the bottom bar. The issue, discovered recently, removes the navigation bar from the app for both regular and YouTube Premium users, limiting access to Subscriptions, Shorts, Library, and Profile buttons. Affected devices in the US can no longer use these features, while users worldwide report scattered cases.

Despite some content remaining accessible on the home page, losing the ability to navigate to Profile and access Playlists, History, or Incognito mode is a significant issue. The bug also affects the Notifications button at the top of the screen.

YouTube acknowledges the problem and is working on a solution, with an update expected soon. While devices in other countries may still have the navigation bar, users are advised to check for updates regularly.

This bug highlights YouTube’s lack of alternatives, leaving users reliant on the app for its vast content offerings. Meanwhile, desktop, smart TV, and iOS versions of the YouTube app continue to function as normal.
