YouTube TV Sends $20 Credit for ESPN Blackout

Good news for sports fans frustrated by the ongoing Disney-ESPN blackout on YouTube TV! The company is taking steps to ease the pain with a $20 credit that subscribers can apply to their next bill.

As of November 9, all YouTube TV subscribers will start receiving emails with a $20 credit to help make up for not having access to ESPN and other Disney-owned networks. This move comes after Google promised earlier this week that it would issue a credit if negotiations didn’t result in the channels being restored within an “extended period.”

The credit is meant to soften the blow, especially since college football and basketball seasons are underway. However, it remains unclear whether this is a one-time gesture or if the company will continue issuing credits monthly.

Both YouTube and Disney are pointing fingers for the blackout, with each side accusing the other of unfair terms and unrealistic demands. A deal between the two companies has yet to be reached, leaving fans without their favorite channels.

The situation is expected to be resolved “in a matter of hours” once an agreement is struck, according to YouTube. However, until then, sports fans will have to wait for ESPN and other Disney-owned networks to return to YouTube TV.
