“Zero Day Fumbles in Concluding Conspiracy Search”

The search for the perpetrators of a devastating attack has come to an end with underwhelming results. The show’s writers had shown promise by introducing George as a complex character with a dark undercurrent, but this was quickly undone when his character development was overshadowed by his inevitable elevation to hero.

This approach undermines the significance of earlier moments and justifies George’s use of “enhanced interrogation tactics” as a necessary evil. The revelation that Dreyer and Alex were part of the conspiracy in the last episode had been one of the show’s most inspired turns, but it was squandered by poor handling of the character development.
