Zygarde Chasing Questline Confirmed in Pokémon Legends Z-A Demo

A new questline has been confirmed for the upcoming Pokémon Legends Z-A RPG, with players tasked with tracking down a beloved Legendary Pokémon throughout the game’s map. The demo at the Pokémon World Championships features a quest where players chase Zygarde through Lumiose City.

According to Nintendo, the demo will feature a real-time battling system in Trainer battles that take place after hours in Lumiose City. Players will be able to team up with Lucario to take on Rogue Mega Absol in an epic showdown.

The Pokémon World Championships demo may only be showing off a stand-alone quest, but promotional materials suggest that the Zygarde chasing sequence could be part of a larger storyline. This echoes the Spiritomb questline from Pokémon Legends Arceus, where players had to collect 108 Spiritomb Wisps across the entire map to catch the Ghost Pokémon.

Trainers believe that the new Pokémon Legends Z-A demo will feature a similar questline, where they have to track down a set number of Zygarde Cells hidden throughout Lumiose City. Finding these cells would allow players to unlock higher forms of Zygarde, including its 50% Forme and Complete Forme.

This concept fits with the pattern established in previous Pokémon Legends games, such as Pokémon Arceus’ Spiritomb storyline being a reimagining of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl’s plotline. The tease of adorable Zygarde Cells hidden in hard-to-reach areas also aligns with this trend.

The confirmation of the Zygarde chasing questline confirms that players will be chasing down Gen 6 Legendary Pokémon through the streets of Lumiose City in the new game.
