FC Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal has revealed that he was “peeing” when he played against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, and that anti-doping controls were not carried out due to his medical condition following an ankle sprain. However, this did not affect his performance as he delivered a spectacular assist for Ferran Torres to score the winner in their 3-2 thriller.
Lamine’s best performance yet since recovering from the injury saw him help Barca climb up the UCL league phase ranks to second place and secure a significant cash injection. The 17-year-old played a genius diagonal pass behind the back line, which Ferran connected with and scored to guarantee three points.
The left winger attributed his understanding with teammate Ferran Torres to their recent success against Real Betis in Seville. Lamine also showcased his skill by providing a trivela assist for Raphinha in the first half, but vowed to continue playing it as “it comes naturally” to him.
Lamine was awarded the MVP award in the Champions League for his performance, and the team’s success was seen as a significant victory, particularly after their recent 2-2 draw against Real Betis. With the UCL out of the way for 2024, attention now turns to Leganes in the league on Sunday.
