Scientists have created a new type of cell from scratch, dubbed “SpudCells” due to their humble and robust nature. Unlike traditional cells, SpudCells lack metabolism and rely on a controlled environment for basic needs. Their DNA is programmed to follow specific growth and reproduction instructions.
