Trump called the four senators – Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana – “losers” on social media. However, Cassidy defended his vote, saying he was standing up for transparency and accountability in government.
The confrontation escalated when Trump told Cassidy to sit down, calling him a “lunatic.” The meeting highlighted the deepening rift between Trump and Senate Republicans over issues such as the Iran war and voting rights.
